  • 10 Tips for a Successful Team Meeting

    1. Agenda:
Plan an agenda ahead of time and ensure people know expectations and what they will be working on. Give time constraints on how much time will be devoted to each subject and one is responsible for each one.

    2. Purpose for Meeting:
Let the team members know in advance what the purpose is for conducting the meeting, so they can prepare beforehand.

    3. Invite the right team members
To the meeting, as you know the purpose and who needs to attend thus you have the right people with the right information as not every team member may need to be present.

    4. Monitor the meeting
To ensure the team sticks to the proposed agenda and makes progress towards the purpose.

    5. Meeting guidelines
Develop and use meeting guidelines for how the team members will behave with each other.

These habits reside in our subconscious and are extremely powerful in influencing the actions that we take. Habits become a problem when they do not serve us well and have a negative consequence. You will generally know when a habit is bad as it will leave you feeling unhappy with yourself.

Many people attempt to break their bad habits often in most cases without success.

Breaking bad habits involves discipline, desire and consistent effort and I believe the lack of these makes people fail.

Remember that a habit is created by repetitious behaviour over a period of time, sometimes over many years. It takes work to break them and does not happen over night.

So how can we break these bad habits?
