At Click A Life Coach we feel it’s important to help those in need, those less fortunate than ourselves. We are delighted to support such a worthy cause Australia for UNHCR. Australia for UNHCR is an Australian international aid agency established by the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in 2000 to raise support in Australia for UNHCR’s humanitarian work worldwide. With more than 33 million refugees and displaced people worldwide UNHCR is the principal humanitarian agency dedicated to providing emergency relief and support to some of the world’s most vulnerable people.
When we decide to change something about ourselves, wherever it is a personal or business goal we are totally absorbed into our situation and how we need to move from it. Helping others with a small token of 10 AUD will assist them in the most basic of human change. As coaches we are committed to helping you through this transition.

Chad: Education Plus for Darfurian Refugee Children
Situational Overview
Since 2003, over 230,000 Sudanese refugees from Darfur have fled over the border into Eastern Chad to escape fear, persecution and death. UNHCR provides protection and assistance to these refugees in 12 camps on the Chad/Sudan border. More than 100,000 are children of school age. A total of 80 schools have opened in the refugee camps to enrol children in primary education, where the Sudanese curriculum is taught. Both children and the wider communities identified education as a priority as they were deprived in Darfur.
Despite the insecurity UNHCR aims to provide protection, shelter, medical care and education. Often with the focus on frontline emergency relief there are few resources available for education. Limited resources including a shortage of skilled teachers, a lack of basic items such as pens and exercise books and classrooms in disrepair or that need replacing there are many challenges in Chad.
The Project
Education (Plus)
Building on existing education programs with partner organizations we are working to improve the basic learning provision for refugee children to deliver a meaningful and holistic education.
Education (Plus) is a program aimed to give refugee children in Chad quality education in a safe learning environment. It is an initiative that seeks to use sport and education to give these children a practical well rounded start in life. The sports component of this program helps children stay fit and healthy. It is mandatory that the children attend school if they wish to play sports and thus increases attendance.
The program also ensures the needs of girls are supported. Currently on average, only one in three children attend school in refugee populations.

- Increases opportunities and aspiration
- Relieves boredom
- Healthier children achieve better results
- Protects children from abuse and exploitation
- Empowers girls

Maximise the number of children enrolled in Education (Plus). Enrol more girls and focus on ways to ensure retention through to early secondary school.
