Tomorrow we are attending a funeral, someone I knew for a long time, he succummed to cancer and naturally his passing makes me stop and think about what life means to people. As a coach I sincerely believe that we get one chance to live authentically, this life. Whatever you believe in faith-wise I get that however for me it is THIS life that matters. You live according to what is the important to you, share time with people you really care about and indulge in the pleasures that make you feel wonderful and special. The gentleman who passed away had a simple yet rewarding life he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his partner and he loved the horse races. I will remember him always having a radio ear piece stuck in his ear attentively listening to the current race. This was his absolute passion. Glad he got to enjoy it so much. That is why it is never too late to really go for it, if you have a fear of something and wonder what it would be like, then you are preventing...

Ever thought of changing your focus from managing time to managing energy? Here’s the good news if you dare to go there. Forget time, it’s all about energy! In our increasingly fast-paced and pressured lives, we crave more time and energy, making them both among the most in-demand commodities of the 21st century. We are all familiar with the clever concepts of buying time; but can we actually buy energy? The answer is, of course, ‘no’ though we do note society’s attempts in the purchasing of energy drinks, energy bars, or our embracing of the notion to increase energy through meditation, yoga or exercise. However, this is clearly not sustaining enough, as most people are still craving energy despite these hard-earned efforts to increase it. Why is this so? If we understand that time is outside of ourselves and energy is within us all, we begin to understand that energy is actually our currency for living and being. After all, without energy we can’t perform or do anything really, ev...

I was re-organising my emails when I came across an email sent to me by a dear friend.  I want to share this with you:  I printed this beautiful poem, laminated it and hung it up so I can read it daily, just so I won't forget...you may want to do the same... With love, Bianca     Deep at the centre of my being there is an infinite well of love.   I now allow this love to flow to the surface - It fills my heart, my body, my mind, my consciousness, my very being, and radiates out from me in all directions and returns to me multiplied. The more love I use and give, the more I have to give - the supply is endless. The use of love makes me feel good. It is an expression of my inner joy. I love myself; therefore, I take loving care of my body. I lovingly feel it nourishing foods and beverages. I lovingly groom it and dress it, and my body lovingly responds to me with vibrant health and energy. I love myself; therefore, I provide for myself a comfortable hom...

Today I feel like sharing this beautiful poem based on affirmations: In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete.  I am one with the Power that created me.  I have within me all the ingredients for success.  I now allow the success formula to flow through me and manifest in my world.  Whatever I am guided to do will be a success.  I learn from every experience.  I go from success to success and from glory to glory.  My pathway is a series of stepping stones to ever greater successes.  All is well in my world.

“Yesterday’s the past and tomorrow’s the future. Today is a gift – which is why they call it the present” – Bil Keane. As the above quote suggests the present or the now is a gift. We need to treat now as something extremely special. We need to live it as best we can and make choices in the present that contribute to us achieving a greater level of happiness & fulfillment.  It is important that we do not fall into the trap of focusing so much on the past or the future that we neglect the now. Admittedly, we do need to spend some time focusing on the past and future.  The past provides us with important learnings. It helps us to decide what experiences we want to avoid or repeat and the necessary changes that we need to make in our thoughts, behaviours and decisions.  The future provides us with possibilities and inspires us to take action. It is a vision of what we want to be, where we want to go, and what we want to achieve.  However, our lives ca...

We know how great it feels to receive a gift from someone. I believe however that the greatest satisfaction comes from giving to others and knowing that you have made someone feel happier or made a positive contribution in some way to their life. Think of the times when you have given to others. It may have been when you helped someone resolve a problem. You may have volunteered and given up some of your time to help out at your children’s school. You may have helped someone with directions to where they needed to go. The question I ask to you is how did you feel? I’d imagine you felt very pleased with yourself and happy inside. There is something very nourishing to our soul when we give and help others. It provides us with an intrinsic reward that far outweighs what we give. It also helps to take our mind of our own worries and challenges. When you are focused on how you can give to others you are less likely to consume your whole focus on your own concerns and challenges. ...

“You can’t have what you want”. I heard this on a spirituality program I was watching last night and it puzzled me. Why would they be saying that? Then it occurred to me, it was all in the language. The sentence was presupposing that if you are ‘wanting’ something, then it is something you believe you do not have or possess in this very moment. If we want something, it means we don’t believe we already have it, or it isn’t something that we already own or possess. What is it that you want? Love, health, success? Do you believe these things have to come from someone or something else? Anything that we desire is part of us already. It has to be. Why? Because I believe that we are all connected energetically – and ultimately we are all connected to a higher power, God, universal energy, whatever you wish to call it. And surely if this higher power has it, and we are connected to this higher power, then doesn’t it mean we have access? Absolutely. However, the key is to be open to acces...

Have you ever wanted something so much that it doesn’t come or doesn’t happen. You’ve done everything you can think of to get this “thing”, you’ve been constantly thinking about having it and yet its still not coming your way… In desperation you finally reach frustration point and “give up”. But then guess what happens next – you get it! That’s because part of the process of positive thinking involves a certain amount of surrendering. When you’ve believe enough in an outcome and have taken every action to achieve it then you must let it go and have faith that it will occur when its meant to. When I talk about faith I’m not referring to a particular religion per se. You could be surrendering to God, Buddha, Allah or the Universe. Whatever external source you believe in is absolutely perfect, it’s the action of belief that is important, not the subject. A mentor of mine once said to me that surrendering your belief is like hot chips and seagulls. If you chase after a seagull to feed ...

In 2005 I was in pieces. I was shattered by a relationship break down. The path ahead was no longer clear, and I was full of self-doubt. It was at this point that I turned inwards, and my journey of spiritual discovery began. What I found was my Inner Essence through self development. It enabled me to recognise the power and strength at the core of my being. I was able to unlock my hidden potential. Along the way I was assisted by spiritual guides, angels and ascended masters. Shared experiences with friends moulded who I became. Like the caterpillar, after metamorphosis, I emerged a beautiful butterfly. So how can you discover your Inner Essence? I would like to share with you seven techniques which will help you on your own spiritual journey of enlightenment. Revisit painful experiences. Do you feel angry about a relationship break down? Do you resent the promotion of a work colleague? Are you feeling guilty about the way you treated a family member? To move on yo...

Back in April I attended the James Redfield seminar on his Celestine Prophecy books and underlying philosophies. James led us through the story of his life and how he came to be where he is now, his psychology background with troubled kids was fascinating in its own right, however it was his in-depth discussion on the insights that we were all there for. And he did not let us down. Although I’d read the books before it wasn’t until I heard him speak his words that I could truly understand their meanings and the bigger picture of their implications. In addition to the actual insights (below), he raised some very interesting points: What is your truth to tell? If it’s not immediately obvious, make it up. It will evolve to the truth. Ask yourself why you have gone through all of your life’s preparations (look at your friends, family, teachers, jobs, experiences). Wherever you are now is perfect… The way you know you’re on the right path is...
