Today I feel like sharing this beautiful poem based on affirmations: In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete.  I am one with the Power that created me.  I have within me all the ingredients for success.  I now allow the success formula to flow through me and manifest in my world.  Whatever I am guided to do will be a success.  I learn from every experience.  I go from success to success and from glory to glory.  My pathway is a series of stepping stones to ever greater successes.  All is well in my world.

During the weekend my husbands’ laptop decided to take a break, and as it usually happens it was not a good time to have a software meltdown. So he spent the majority of the time reinstalling software and ensuring all worked for the next working day. This made me think about our own internal diagnostics and what do we do to self regulate.  We have people around us to keep us in check most of the time, we have our own internal self guidance system of our emotions and how the day runs for us. We have filtering systems and also expectations of our routine and these are habits we have formed over time..   So what happens when the program doesn’t work? Or we simply freeze in the moment because we have to make a decision and weigh up the pros and cons.   This is when our self diagnostics needs a re-boot of some kind. We are forced to look at the situation and really think about our self guidance and where it fits into our model of the world.   I will spare you the detail...

Have you ever stopped to consider that the world you think you are living in is not actually what is going on? Let me explain. I wrote an email to a potential client the other day asking permission to gatecrash an event they were holding. It was a bold thing to do, but someone I trust had suggested I get in contact with them as they thought I might be able to add some value to the service they were offering in the future. I sent the mail and got on with my life.A week later and I was looking at my diary to discover that I had this event still pencilled in and another client pushing for the slot. I sent another email to the new client to see whether it was still appropriate for me to go. Nothing. With the event the following day and close of business fast approaching I managed to dig out a mobile number for the client using some deft googling skills. I wrote an SMS to her explaining my circumstances and hit send.I then had a flash of panic. I kind of 'Oh my, I think I overstepped the mar...

This book landed on my lap for some reason, so I read it and absorbed the learnings. So now it is about putting into practice. If something falls on your lap, learn to stop and get the learnings and not just brush it off. As I have learnt through the years, often these are the moments to stop, assess what is going on and do something different. So enjoy my review on this new take on willpower.  It is told in an interesting easy to follow story line main characters are Billy and Beth and their quest to attain inspiring goals, they resemble many couples in today’s society (minus the skinny nature!) as they go through the mental and physical challenges. As I have personally discovered obstacles are there because you are moving forward, to the sooner they come the quicker you can be on your way.   In essence you will learn the following 15 lessons:   1. Be sure you are totally committed. 2. Prepare yourself for a difficult journey. 3. Prepare for your challenge ...

“I’m calling a time out on you and it’s for your own good.” We need to have regular time outs in our life. I suggest that you make it a priority! Time out allows us to rest, relax, heal, gain perspective, clear our thoughts, discover answers to our problems, release stress etc. Now you can see why it is so important. So why do many people neglect to do it? I think that society has conditioned us to think that ‘busy’ is good. People have become proud of being busy and view it as a measure of success. It is as if the busier we are the more successful we apparently are. This type of conditioning has fooled us in to believing that being productive is all about doing things. Well I believe that taking time out is extremely productive. As Billy Joel said “There are times when we need to let the field lie fallow.” Taking some time out for ourselves allows us to rejuvenate and harvest better results for our future. We become more productive and effective thanks to the rest and ...

Are you finding it difficult to achieve balance in your life?   Are you juggling too many things at once?   Do you feel overwhelmed by all the things expected of you?   Are you frustrated by not having the time to do what is important and enjoyable to you?   If you answered yes to these questions you more than likely have failed to set boundaries in your life.   Setting boundaries in your life is extremely important for your happiness & wellbeing. Setting boundaries ensures that you spend time on those things that are meaningful, beneficial, enjoyable and important to you and ultimately lead you to living a fulfilling and happy life.   It is your responsibility to set the boundaries.   If you fail to set boundaries you will find your life being shaped and dictated by others.   Setting boundaries is about respecting and valuing your time. Remember time is precious. You need to make wise choices on how you wish to spen...

I learnt something new yesterday at a small business seminar and I wanted to share this with our members at Click A Life Coach. Did you know that the Australian coat of arms has two native animals the emu and the kangaroo? Well and did you know that these two animals cannot walk backwards? Yes that is right they move forward, powerful isn’t it. In life we tend to walk sideways and backwards and how often do we commit to just walking forward no matter what! I found this new knowledge profound as we humans just take it for granted that we can do so much more and yet many spend a life time wondering what they could have done differently.   We replay our past in minute details and project into the future that we forget about the essence of now. Time is a non renewable resource it just goes and we do not get it back. That is why when you get older you want to stop the biological clock and do whatever it takes to get those years back. Well I am here to tell you that you need to ...

“Yesterday’s the past and tomorrow’s the future. Today is a gift – which is why they call it the present” – Bil Keane. As the above quote suggests the present or the now is a gift. We need to treat now as something extremely special. We need to live it as best we can and make choices in the present that contribute to us achieving a greater level of happiness & fulfillment.  It is important that we do not fall into the trap of focusing so much on the past or the future that we neglect the now. Admittedly, we do need to spend some time focusing on the past and future.  The past provides us with important learnings. It helps us to decide what experiences we want to avoid or repeat and the necessary changes that we need to make in our thoughts, behaviours and decisions.  The future provides us with possibilities and inspires us to take action. It is a vision of what we want to be, where we want to go, and what we want to achieve.  However, our lives ca...

As I was cleaning the bathroom I usually wipe the sink, tub followed by the toilet. The shower gets done when I am in there, one of my habits I guess. Yesterday what I noticed was the tiles surrounding the toilet, they were dirty and surprisingly I had not noticed this before. The thought occurred to me that I was just focusing on the usual areas and just going about it in an automatic kind of way. In life how often do we run this similar program? Just do as we always do and not change anything? When we are on the path of continual self-improvement we are forced to reassess and look outside our ‘usual areas’. Our environment changes and we begin to expand our awareness. That is what I got yesterday whilst cleaning, expanded awareness and glad I was able to see the difference and do something about it. Then we see new things in our consciousness we can improve our situation whatever that is. This applies to anything in life, career, relationships, self love, health, finances and so o...

As we grow and stretch ourselves we look for validation, so we know we are on the right track. This validation can come from other people who tell us that we are heading down the right path or perhaps intuitively we know that this is right as it feels so good. This is when we trust our own decision making and feelings. It can be a challenge when there is so much choice around. There are so many factors to consider and weighing up options. Take changing careers as an example. We want to pursue a different path, we know what we like and what we are good at, so we head down this road. Some people close to us will have an opinion (or we seek it as part of the decision making). This will give us encouragement or perhaps a reality check. Then you also have to consider your prospects and career growth. Too many choices may even paralyze you and once overwhelmed you do not make a decision, as this gets just ‘too hard’. This is when you just have to trust yourself and go with the flow, make a ...
