Hello everyone John Spender here from motioncoachingnow.com I going to share with this week an easy way to determine what it is that you truly value & are you living your life in accordance with your values.I was sitting down at my desk the other day to sort through some papers & I started to gaze out the window staring at the deep blue ocean feeling very fortunate. My thoughts turned to the year that had been & what I allowed in my life & the trips that I had went on & all the different people that I had worked with.I made the connection that I really was living a life according to my values of helping people, travelling & spending time in nature.The things you value most you attract into your life & we see the world according to our values. For example a husband & wife go to the shopping mall where she see’s jewellery & things for the children. There are many things that are guaranteed in life, paying taxes, death & change are a few that spring to my mind.Not to mention the fears you'll face & overcome, fears that may last a life time.Love found with an open heart & love that seems to tear us apart , only to find an inner strength that we didn't know existed.The one thing that binds them together is change. If this is true? Why are we so resisent to change.Letting go of the old & embracing the new, it was Karl Jung who said what was once true in the morning of our lives will become a lie in the evening of our lives.There's another famous quote that goes as follows, "If you always do what you have always done you'll always get what you've always gotten" UnknownThis quote is so true & there are many different ways you can tap into the habit of adapting to change.Firstly become present to everything that is by focusing on your breath. How good does it feel to get everything done on a to-do list? It feels like you have accomplished something good whether you're at work or at home. You're getting stuff done and you're making progress. The question is, how important are the things on the to-do list. Siimon Reynolds, one Australia's top Entrepreneurs believes in keeping things simple. He starts his day focusing on an area of importance and writes down a top 10 list of things that need to be done. Focusing on the top three, Siimon will delegate the rest. For me personally, I will start my day with a top five and focus on three, starting with the most important and only moving onto the next one when the first task has been completed.
