You Can’t Have What You Want

“You can’t have what you want”. I heard this on a spirituality program I was watching last night and it puzzled me. Why would they be saying that? Then it occurred to me, it was all in the language.

The sentence was presupposing that if you are ‘wanting’ something, then it is something you believe you do not have or possess in this very moment.

If we want something, it means we don’t believe we already have it, or it isn’t something that we already own or possess. What is it that you want? Love, health, success? Do you believe these things have to come from someone or something else?

Anything that we desire is part of us already. It has to be. Why? Because I believe that we are all connected energetically – and ultimately we are all connected to a higher power, God, universal energy, whatever you wish to call it. And surely if this higher power has it, and we are connected to this higher power, then doesn’t it mean we have access? Absolutely.

However, the key is to be open to accessing your own power, tools and resources and acknowledging and believing that it is part of you already.

To assist you in understanding how easy this all is, open your closet. What do you see? Some jackets, shirts, skirts, pants, shoes, etc? It’s all there, inside the closet, whatever you need. Whether it is a jumper for winter, shorts and a t-shirt for summer, a suit for that business meeting, it’s all there and you expect and believe that it is there for the taking. Whatever you need for any particular day is in your wardrobe, ready to wear.

The same can be said for anything we desire – love, success, connection, empowerment, fulfillment, motivation, inspiration, health, vitality and the list goes on. Like your closet at home – we have all these things available to us right now – it’s just a matter of knowing, understanding and believing that we can at any time open our door, select what we already know we possess, and wearing that for the day or however long we wish to.

There may be secondary gain involved as to why you haven’t already ‘opened your closet’ and this is where Life Coaching may greatly assist you if you are ready to embrace all that you can be, all that you ultimately are already.

If we are all linked energetically to this higher power I mentioned, wouldn’t it mean that we always have something/someone by our side conspiring for our success? The universe will always conspire for you and only wants the best for you, however you need to play the game too and be open for it to happen and acknowledge your own wisdom, power and strength.

Open those closet doors today, take a look at what’s inside and wear those closes that fit perfectly and were always there, ready to wear!
