When we keep things inside that bother us, we tend to ruminate about the finer details and how it makes us feel. This can lead to feeling inadequate, unsupported, misunderstood, unloved and if you find yourself maintaining a straight face that shows to the world that you are ‘ fine’ and ‘ok’ then this article is for you!


You see if you do not air your issues, you just keep burying them into the depth of your being you will generate dis-ease in your body. Especially if this is your way of coping with the knocks of life and being in relationships. Not one relationship is smooth sailing, (unless one is in full control and the other is compliant). Better I make myself clear: No one healthy relationship is smooth sailing. They all require work, love, attention, communication, trust and respect. So if you are just keeping it bottled in then you will eventually have to explode to let the air out!


If you come to this explosive end, you may likely completely loose it and then suffer the consequences, which could mean you lose out big time in your relationship. Do you really want to play a guessing game when it comes to being real and authentic? Even if you just need a shoulder to listen to you, you will find them. Friends and family are the best source of good quality shoulder listeners. Just acknowledge that most have an agenda too about what you are about to say, so be prepared for that. If you want unbiased and non judgmental support then look no further and consult a Life Coach to be your supportive shoulder. They are pros at listening and being there for you.


I had a client and our sessions where just that, airing out all the happenings in her business and at home from the past few weeks, seeing the lessons and taking the learnings. She felt so lighter at the end of each session, and because I was detached from her life I was just the person she needed to speak to. So my message is simple, air out your issues, if you sleep on it, IT will grow into an ugly monster that will give you grief later on, and your body doesn’t need that negative energy. So really think about what you are NOT saying and pay attention to your emotions.

Great ideas Paola. It's amazing what happens when we simply stop holding on to the pain and problems of the past. We can suddenly breathe better and walk more comfortably without carrying the weight. I've found that it is a huge challenge for people to simply talk about the things that are troubling them but, when they find out how great it feels to let go of that load, they start thinking in new ways. The key for many is to reach the point where they let go of the fear and just start talking about things. After all, we're all human and we all have things to work through.
