For people who really are organized and structured this may come to a surprise to them, for those who just go with the flow and are truly present in the moment, they are onto something.. You see being in the now can be challenging for some especially if the current climate is chaotic to say the least.
When you are busy putting things in their place you are forward, future focused as you have a picture in your mind of how things should look like and you see the mess all around you. This gives you meaning and significance as you hurriedly make changes to alter the room, place or situation. In contrast if you are totally present in whatever activity you actually are not concerned about the external environment and how that looks you are absorbed in the doing.
Some say well I am organized and in the now, well it may appear so yet you are looking at the external and future projecting at how you can alter this, and perhaps there is a deeper issue to look at and resolve rather than just the aesthetics. This acts as a distraction of some type rather than really addressing the under-lying issue of:
• Self worth
• Relationship issues
• Denial of something bigger
• Escaping from an old hurt
These are just some of the reasons and believe me as a coach I have come across many reasons why people look like in control and uber organized and deep down they are crying to be found out. Hiding something deeper and through our coaching program we begin to embrace the chaos and ultimately slowly, with support and taking one positive step after another. Finding that being in the chaos can be liberating and empowering.
