What are you waiting for?

It is interesting to see that many people are just waiting, waiting for their lives to begin, to feel complete, to be happy, they are in a queue and their number isn’t up yet.

Do you get this feeling sometimes? It is like those who buy a lotto ticket, thinking that they deserve to win, and yet week after week they are still at the mercy of the lotto draw.

With waiting comes the anticipation that once they have ‘it’ then life can truly begin, I often hear, ‘when I have a new career I will feel happier about my direction’ or ‘when I have my soul mate I will feel complete’. What are these people waiting for?

An opportunity, an external power to come into their lives to make it better, a fix, a solution. They wait and expectations get higher as the time keeps on ticking. If you haven’t achieved those goals in 2007, well then begin afresh in 2008. Also explore the reasons why you haven’t achieved them, are they always the same goals? Do you find yourself indulging in sabotage behaviours and thus never getting to the next phase. If you are honest with yourself and find that you are not moving forward and in fact just waiting for someone or something to mend your life, then look inside yourself for the answers. Make an appointment with a Life Coach to get you moving in 2008, it is high time you got what you wanted, so why keep waiting?

I often hear women compare what they have with their friends, they compare at what age she had this or that, and what they want is what she has etc, comparing will not bring those things closer to you, you may just build up other emotions which are not conducive to your own empowerment. These emotions are negative and they serve no purpose. So if you catch yourself comparing, STOP.

Feel grateful for what is already in your life, this will resonate with you and make your feel good.

So as I keep saying to those around me, MAKE 2008 Your Best YEAR YET!
